I love the way this book is set up

I love the way this book is set up, Starting from chapter 1 Explaining the history of essential oils and how they are produced, and how to choose the right essential oils. And then a chapter on 25 must have oils and their usage and benefits, I found this section very educational. Then there is a chapter on everyday recipes for emergencies, and the recipes are broke down into age groups so there is no guess work on how many drops, this I found very helpful. Then a chapter on how to make your own cleaning products with detailed recipes and there is even a shopping checklist to help you get started. A chapter on personal beauty care recipes. Chapter on Moods, diffuser recipes and how to make them into roller bottle blends, again this is great no guess work. Chapter on self care rituals from morning to evening using essential oils in water, smoothies, shower and bath blends. Last chapter on women's hormone health from stress management, energy,weight management, sleep, intimacy,to menopause, all with detailed recipes. This book from start to finish is great it is for anyone from beginner to long time user of essential oils. Love This Book ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Yes. Get this one.

This book is IT! I'm a mom to a 2 & 3yr old and love using my essential oils, but sometimes feel less than confident with recipes and what is/isn't safe. Unfortunately, this generally leads me to being fearful of using my oils on them.

Fear no more! This book is FULL of recipes (dilution amounts noted for different ages!!! WOOHOO!) that cover ALL my needs with my kiddos! It is so easy to read - there's a bit of science in the beginning, but 2/3 of the book read kinda like a recipe book with various options listed in an easy to read format. It has recipes for kiddos/babies - but for me too! Beauty, bath, cleaning... it's all encompassing for removing gross and harmful chemicals from our family!

I have a billion different EO books, but this one is definitely going to be my GO-TO. Thank you Dr. Mariza for finally making an EO book for us mamas! We are in charge of our homes and this gives confidence on using effective natural solutions. YAY!!!

Very Timely and Absolutely Accessible!

LOVE this book! So happy to see how absolutely accessible this is written! Brilliant layout too! This book is just like a gift. No matter where you open it you are going to find a surprise inside! Essential oils and fun, do go in the same sentence! I'm especially interested in the emotional aspect of essential oils for kids as well as adults. I'm also interested in removing toxins from my environment and body. Love the recipes and want to try them all! If you happen to have a certain non typical biological difference in your brain and don't like reading from front cover to back….have no fear. This isn't a book you will lose your place in! When I said accessible, I meant it! Dr. Mariza didn't miss a beat when writing this really amazing little book! Even if you didn't know much about essential oils when the book first arrived and maybe just had a curiosity type interest….by the time you go through this book with so much amazing information you will be intrigued and fascinated! Curiosity surpassed! I'm keeping it with me to reference and I'm sure I will be getting many more copies and passing it on to friends…..even ones I haven't even met yet!:)

Lots of laughs! Hope they make this into a movie!

I am always a happy camper when ordering from Amazon! They never let me down. We pre-ordered the book during the Summer and it arrived the day of it's release. People don't notice the small stuff but I do. As I took the book out of the package I noticed the book has a smooth texture on the front cover. The book cover in general has a smooth grip- like texture, lol. I always love the smell of a new book but the smooth outside texture of the book adds a good feature to the book.
The book has comic like pictures, but don't think it's a comic strip type book overall. It is a well worded book from the first page to the last page (217 pages overall) each page has a complete word filled page but the pictures adds to the imagination of the child reading this book. My son started reading this book series at 8. He's now 10 and he LOVES this book series so much he looks forward to the new books that come out and every once in a while re-reads the older book series. We even have family movie nights and I don't mind watching the couple movies that have been made from the "Diary of A Whimpy Kid" book series. I'm 32 and I find parts of the movie hillarious so I can only imagine reading this book as a kid. I can't say enough good things about this book or any other book from the series. If you're a parent like me, you'd rather watch your child read VS. Playing video games or watching TV programs. At least while reading it engages a child's imagination as well as improving their spelling. Some studies has shown that kids, especially those that are more visual learners, spelling improves the more they read. :)
I will be on the lookout for more books by this same Author (Jeff Kinney). Don't hesitate to buy the book for your child (ren). I took a glimpse of a few pages already while my son is still at school and it's pretty funny! Ha ha ha. I posted some pictures for previewing. :-D

The book is well structured, and includes many photos and diagrams. I found it useful because I work exactly on the same topic. However, most of its content can be found elsewhere (in published articles). The accompanying CD-ROM includes very interesting videos, although I think they can also be found elsewhere. About the Author
Daniel Weeks is a native of New Jersey. He earned a B.S. in chemistry at Wesleyan College in West Virginia, and an M.S. and Ph.D. in organic chemistry at the University of Delaware. After a post-doctoral year at Brown University he began to learn his craft during a temporary appointment at Haverford College. He taught at Seton Hall University for about 20 years and finished his career with ten delightful years at Northwestern University. While he published research on the mechanisms of hydrolysis of organic compounds in aqueous solutions, mostly in the Journal of the American Chemical Society, his greatest satisfaction came from "seeing the light go on in his students' eyes." He has a reputation as an informative, entertaining and even funny lecturer. He is a self-confessed "ham" who always remembered that although what he taught was old stuff to him it was new to his students.

Best book for learning mechanisms and bond formations

IF YOU ARE STRUGGLING WITH ORGANIC CHEMISTRY MECHANISMS, BUY THIS BOOK!

It will be about 12-20 hours of self study and you will be able to do anything in this class. If you have just finished GEN CHEM I or II in most college level courses or AP Chemistry, then this will be a good primer for you for organic chem when you take. It can also help refresh your recollection of Lewis structures and hybridization.

My only complaint is the price.

I have owned both this version and the previous edition. There are some difference but not that many. If you can afford the newer edition then buy it since it has most of the mistakes corrected.

IF YOU NEED TO SAVE MONEY: BUY THE PREVIOUS EDITION!!!! it can be bought used for about $1.00 on amazon and $4 shipping and it will do all you need.

Whatever you choose, do it early in the semester like first 3 weeks. Since the fundamentals are Lewis structures and if you don't understand them then you will never understand organic chemistry and it is usually after the 1st test you know what you understand and what you don't.

Another good book, is Organic Chemistry as a Second Language. I recommend that series too. If you are struggling, DO NOT GIVE UP, YOU CAN DO IT, JUST GET HELP and don't be embarrassed since learning is different for everyone but true mastery will always lie with you and no one else!

This is an amazing guide and I highly recommend it to anyone who is taking, will take, or just needs a refresher on O-Chem. It covers resonance, mechanisms, and most other things you need to know extremely well. I would not have survived O-Chem without it.
